Electric Theatre: Best-of Prix Ars Electronica 2018
Since its inception in 1987, the international competition Prix Ars Electronica had a Computer Animation division. It is the oldest one of its kind in the world. If you look at the history of award-winning films, you can see how digital technology has been developed and employed in different fields over time from Hollywood films to documentaries and VR. This screening program features the award-winning film in 2018 winners from this category. This selection highlights how digital technology is changing human perception and understanding of the world. After the screening, the festival invites Emiko Ogawa, head of Prix Ars Electronica, for a short talk.
